This training module is designed to enhance the knowledge of those with the profound responsibilities of investigating, interviewing, intervening and prosecuting child sexual abuse cases. Special instruction will be provided on the characteristics and differences between a preferential and a situational child molester as well as the profiling of a pedophile.

School Violence (10th Annual Safe School Conference)
To help prepare for the unexpected emergencies associated with school violence; this class will introduce what is needed to address the two critical strategies which can successfully address such crisis: intervention and mitigation.

Legal & Liability Issues in Schools
During this two-day seminar, attendees are provided in-depth details and analysis of up-to-date legal considerations that shape policies and practices in a school setting. Primary topics include: The effect of school violence on the rights of students, searches in schools, teacher versus police personnel searches, use of video and audio surveillance in the school environment, random drug testing for students involved in extra-curricular activities, interviewing and interrogating students, use of physical force to control and punish students, liability issues arising from internet access for students, the Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) / Buckley Amendment, and policy development.

Hostage Negotiations & Crisis Intervention
Instructor Dominick Misino is the director of the International Association of Hostage Negotiators, and has conducted his negotiation curriculum all across the world to virtually every industry segment both public and private. Primary topics for this Phase I & II training module include: Introduction to crisis negotiations, suicide intervention, tactical use of negotiators, negotiation team structure, basics of negotiating, communication skills, psychology of negotiations, terrorism and the negotiator, case studies, dealing with the media, negotiator stress, and more.
